Day 4 - My Day in Pictures
Happy Friday AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge Super Fans!
One of the biggest misconceptions about the AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge is that you will get hungry because you don't get to eat. To speak to this, I have documented my day in pictures. It has been a very delicious day!
Breakfast - This my friends is pure heaven served up in a glass. This is the Vanilla AdvoCare Meal Replacement Shake blended with ice, almond milk, fresh pineapple, banana and coconut. My husband's reaction? After he took the first sip, he turned to me and said, once you are done with this cleanse, we need to pop some rum in this thing. I totally agree, but for now...this was my breakfast and it was DELICIOUS!
Mid-morning snack - Rice cakes with spicy red pepper hummus, topped with pico de gallo. These were so good that once I ate the first one, I was sad that the 2nd one would be gone soon. I miss them.
Lunch - Tabouli salad (from your local Farmer's market, Byerly's, Trader Joe's, Costco, anywhere you can find it) mixed with diced cucumbers, lettuce, a pinch of Parmesan, a sprinkle of olive oil and a dash of sea salt and pepper. And, it was all served up on 2 Joseph's mini whole wheat pita. That was a very good time. I usually add tomatoes, but didn't have any on hand. I will next time.
Afternoon snack - some tea, almonds, carrots and apple slices - nothing to see here. Move along.
Dinner - Grilled tilapia with fresh mango salsa (from Byerly's), green beans and brown rice. From time to time, we go around the table and have our kids tell us about their week. We are supposed to hold off eating until everyone is done talking. I lifted the no eat ban tonight. I was SO excited to eat this. To spice things up, my kids made fish tacos.
Happy Hour on a Friday evening - A crisp tasty drink that looks like a vodka tonic, but is really an H2O served up in a pint glass with freshly squeezed limes. Makes for a nice, refreshing drink on this Friday evening. The best part about this happy hour drink? You really can enjoy any time of the day.
Oh, and look at my fun napkins for a Friday night. Dear cute napkins, I will meet you back here in about 20 days. You don't really fit into my challenge.
