Day 8 - Who are the Freaks on the Treadmill?
Now, don't get me wrong, Becky is HILARIOUS, so the all of the laughing makes sense. But, there was something more. Honestly, we both just really felt great. Both of us are night owls, so this early morning workout is new to us. We both agree that it is insanely satisfying. Walking out of the gym at 6:30am, knowing you have the entire day ahead of you and you have already done so much. We laughed this morning, saying that it feels so good that for a short moment in your day, you feel like you have things all snapped up. Now, the minute you open the door to a house full of morning chaos, that is a different story. But, for a few minutes, you are kind of on top of the world.
So, I just wanted to take a minute to say that I am very happy that I made myself do this challenge. It has slowed me down and it has really helped me focus. I do feel balanced. I am also grateful that I have friends that are doing it with me. We talk about food quite a bit, like recipes and what we are enjoying, what is challenging and how we are preparing to handle these challenges. We also talk about how good it feels to feel good.
It has been one week. I have lost 2 pounds. At times, it seems like a challenge, but most of the time it just feels like it was a really good decision. I was very ready to make a change for the better. I know I committed to 24 Days and in those 24 days, I will train myself to live a little better and balance a little better. It will be 24 days well spent.
