Day 10 - Scooby Doo

Today is Day 10 of the AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge.  That means I am on the last day of the 10 Day Cleanse portion. Wahoo!  I have survived!!  I have survived! Now, on to the last 14 days of the Max Phase that starts tomorrow.

Side note: With that being said, I treated my kids to Dairy Queen today.  They each ordered a blizzard and I ordered a water with extra straws (they have the best fat straws).  On a regular day, my rule is that if I buy, I get a bite when it passes through my window. Not today, friends.  Not on this day.  Today, I passed those blizzards on through to each of my children. Cal said he loved today and he loved that I am on this cleanse, because he gets his blizzard all to himself.  As we sat at the first stoplight, I wished for the power to do a Scooby Doo tongue and without moving, just lick that whipped cream off the top of Daniel's Banana Cream Pie Blizzard.  Not because I craved it, but just because it would be funny and it just looked like the kind of whipped cream Scooby Doo would have licked.  Instead, I just took a long drag off my ice cold water with one of my brand new fat straws and smiled off into the distance.

So, as I was saying, today is the last day of the Cleanse Phase.  Tomorrow, I start the Max phase.

Because I am moving on from the Cleanse Phase to the Max Phase, my AdvoCare Coach Liz checked in with me today (isn’t she a cute lady?).  She was all business.  She had already checked in with the other ladies that are on this 24 Day Challenge with us.  Liz wanted to make sure that I am feeling good and understand the next phase.

Do you wonder what Liz talked to me about.?  It is your lucky day, I recorded our conversation.  No, not really.  Liz emailed me her notes..
In case you are thinking of doing a cleanse, this is what you have to look forward to...

Your coach will help you pick the MNS (Vitamin and energy packet) based on your goals and current lifestyle habits.  Everyone is unique.  There are recommendations as to when to take the vitamins (pre-meal or with meal).  This is for purposes of maximum absorption and effect.  For some people eating consistently to go along with the vitamins is challenge enough.  For those that are new to taking vitamins the sheer amount may be overwhelming.  Continue to work with your coach to find a routine that will work for you.  Of course the App (I need to download this) is awesome for reminders.

For people that find and say "vitamins upset my stomach" timing is more important.  In fact, I would recommend taking the pre-meal packets closer to the meal (within 10-15 minutes of eating).  The packets with the multivitamin (3 green tablets) should then be taken with your largest meal.  Never wait longer than the recommended time and if you forget a packet - which you will, use it as soon as remembered or start again tomorrow if the timing does not permit.

For more information on the Max Phase, Liz sent me information from the website...
The Max Phase is about fueling your body in order to achieve maximum results. During this phase you will take three products that work together to provide you with sustained energy, appetite control, core nutrition and overall wellness.* Upon completion of the 24-Day Challenge, these products can continue to be taken every day as part of a healthy lifestyle.

If you’re not sure which system to use, AdvoCare recommends beginning with MNS® 3, which provides you with a foundational level of appetite control and energy.* For a higher level of appetite control you can choose MNS® C, and for more energy you can choose MNS® E*.

All three formulations include: Coracle® (our multivitamin), OmegaPlex®, ProBiotic Restore™ ULTRA, thermogenic components and additional wellness supplements.

Here is what I know.  I have lost weight. I feel so good.  I am glad that I committed to this challenge.  Now, on to the Max Phase!
