Day 11 - Chug it...and I Don't Mean the Fiber Drink

The sun was shining very bright and beautiful today.  The weather was extremely warm for March in Minnesota. The gentle breeze that blew in my open kitchen window reminded me of a warm, summer day.  AND, OF COURSE, IT IS THE WEEKEND. Let's be honest folks, at about 6pm on this glorious day, mama wanted a cocktail.  In fact, at 6:04pm, I sent this text to Liz.  Her response took me by surprise. 

When I signed up, I was under the impression that I was in it to win it (no cocktails, coffee, Diet Coke, candy, fried foods, cocktails and candy and Diet Coke and cocktails) for 24 Days.  But, apparently, I had forgotten the golden 80/20 rule of the Max Phase.  The first 10 days of the 24 Day Challenge is a cleanse. So, I eat as whole and clean as I can...and I did.  Now, that we are past the Cleanse Phase and into the Max Phase, I can start to incorporate old favorites that I hate to love. Eat healthy 80% of the time and treat 20%. If I choose.  I choose no.  I am not going to.  I signed up for a challenge...and, so bring on the challenge. I am sticking to clean eating and a little help with some tasty AdvoCare products (Meal Replacement Shakes, Coffecino and Spark - love them all...love them).  I have gone 11 days without any of the old crap and I am sticking with it.  I know that I am building healthy habits that will last.  But, the good news is, it is an option.  I am a rule follower by nature, so it feels good to have options.  It makes me feel stronger.

So, with that being said, I have to give a great big shout out to AdvoCare (really, for quite a few reasons, but I am focusing on their online tool right now).  They have an amazing tool for this 24 Day Challenge.  It is a Virtual Coach.  Take a look - http://www.advocare.com/24DayChallenge/VirtualCoach/day.aspx?index=11.  Even if you are not participating in a challenge or a cleanse, this thing is wonderful.  It is a calendar of what to do (eat) each day of the Challenge.  And, say for instance, on Day 11, I am out of snack or dinner ideas (and, it certainly happens), I can just click on a link and it gives me different ideas and recipes.  Here's the Day 11 example - http://www.advocare.com/24DayChallenge/VirtualCoach/day.aspx?index=11.  It also keeps me on track for taking my vitamins and supplements.  I will definitely be using this in my regular life...in about 13 days (but, who is counting).

1st thing in the morning  - Advocare Catalyst 
30 minutes before breakfast - MNS® (color pack)
Breakfast - AdvoCare Vanilla Meal Replacement Shake blended with spinach and a mango - DE-HI-LICOUS
Snack -Banana and AdvoCare Orange Spark
30 minutes before lunch - MNS® (color pack)
Lunch - Joseph whole wheat pita with jalapeno hummus, topped with tomato and cucumber and an H20 drink
with lunch - MNS® (both white packs)

Evening/After Dinner - AdvoCare Mint Chocolate Brownie Meal Replacement Shake mixed with 1/4 cup water and microwaved for 1:45minutes.  Topped with a splash of almond milk.  Tastes like a real brownie.  I win.  I am the winner because it was so delicious. 

Throughout the day...lots of water
